For demanding exhibition projects, we manufacture glass bonnets in a lift-off design – engineered for professional museum use, with the utmost focus on precision, material quality, and conservation-grade requirements. The glass bonnet is custom-made to fit the respective exhibition concept and is available in various sizes as well as bespoke dimensions – ideal for use on on-site plinths, pedestals, or exhibition furniture.
Carcass & finishing
Five-sided bonnet showcase, butt-jointed and invisibly, permanently bonded using high-grade UV curing. Edges polished and lightly chamfered, all angles executed precisely at 90 degrees.
Glass
Laminated safety glass (VSG), 8 mm (8.76 mm incl. interlayer), optionally in float glass or low-iron glass. Glass thickness is adapted to the structural requirements of the respective showcase dimensions if necessary.
Application on existing plinth
The glass bonnet is placed onto existing pedestals, plinths, or exhibition furniture. It does not include an integrated base; the contact surface must be level and suitably designed on-site for the respective showcase dimensions. For a complete unit including a steel base, see Museum showcase.
Conservation quality & sizes
